Eclipse 3.0 is out
Posted on June 26, 2004
I downloaded latest and greatest Eclipse release and I should say that they almost recreated VisualStudio. On a positive side it is very complete and for free you will get exceptional IDE can’t complain about it. One aspect that I liked quite a lot is that it have very good documentation. The bad side is that Intellij IDEA does not need documentation. Well as I said it is Visual Studio with it’s ups and downs but I would give them 90 out of 100.
Oh and I very much like ability to select system font.

Unlucky day
Posted on June 24, 2004
This day was very bright, hot and very unlucky for me. I did not expect that it will rain like hell in just few hours so I went to see my friend and left laptop on a balcony. Do I need to say anything else… Let’s hope it will work, though I bet it wont.

To people with laptop with broken CD-Ron
Posted on June 18, 2004
If you have a notebook and for some reason that I don’t want to know you have to install operation system (Linux or Windows does not meteor) and at the same time your CD drive went barges and does not want to boot you don’t have to call your CD-drive supplier and order new one. You can install it from network! And it is quite easy. All you need to have is a second computer and brain. For Linux I suggest to try using Mandrake because they have nice wizard that works and when you need windows I suggest you first to try to install XP because it has more network card drivers. Search for RIS HOW-TO in Microsoft knowledge base.

I think two pieces are still missing: easy to use server
side filtering a la popfile (http://popfile.sourceforge.net/) and easy to use
server side address book.
