Finally! I’m going to see Manowar! Yeah, it took me so long. Fist they came to Moscow next day after I moved to Canada, then when they came to Montreal all tickets were sold before I could buy one (and I could not afford to buy one on the street), I almost missed this show. I thought that I bought a ticket on ticketpro but they did not send me any confirmation so I called them today and sure they said that they did not sell ticket to me, well anyway I have it now! Manowar and Rhapsody! Yeah!

Microsoft ordered to pay $8.9m: “A jury in U.S. federal court found that Microsoft Corp. infringed on a 1994 patent by a Guatemalan inventor involving technology related to linking its Access and Excel programs and ordered the world’s largest software maker to pay $8.9 million in damages.”

Patents rule! I should patent mouse movement or sitting in front of the computer. No really, it’s hilarious. Way to go Guatemalan inventor. You are my hero.

Apple and PC

Skrud thinks that because Apple is switching to Intel X86 CPUs, we will have another OS for PCs. But I bet Mac’s OS won’t run on any X86 box. Look at XBOX, it is almost a regular PC, but you can not install Windows on it. Plus Microsoft and Intel are partners, Microsoft don’t want another competitor, and Apple wants to sell it’s hardware. They will be happy if you can run Mac’s OS only on Mac hardware (even if it is X86) and Windows on regular boxes.
