For those “crazy looking weirdoes” (c) D. Probst - who are interested in Artificial Idiots there is new toy on the market: a programmable A.I. chip that can be used to accelerate stuff. Actually there is a cool blog dedicated to advances in A.I.
Today sad story is the death of MIPS processor architecture, and Irix operation system. That was expected, for some time, yet it is always sad when another colossus dies. RIP.
And now for something completely different: I was expecting a C for COMP 451 Database Design because I did not do well on the final (not my fault! it was totally unlike anything I was prepared for) yet I managed to get a a solid B. Hurray!
Oh yeah, today was the first day of classes, and I get a frequent flyer discount at beer stand ;-)
Another Oh yeah, my friends and me are thinking about building a robot, for now just a control and simulation software, but it looks like the project can become useful in variety of business areas. If anyone is interested, email me.
