Aha!

I know that developer of PHP did not use VI to write it!
In VI , g/re/p means do regular expression on whole buffer and print the result.
This is why In UNIX grep command is called grep and not apply_regular_expression_on_std_in_and_print_result_to_std_out.
But PHP uses preg_* function for regular expression! Totally lame ;-)
(well actually it stands for Perl regular expression).

New Concordia logo

…updated its logo to better reflect its development, its profile, its values, and its place within the contemporary North American university landscape. The new logo reflects our pride in our past and our confidence in our future.
The logo on the left shows a head of either a ninja or a knight. Cool.

Well, not all news are bad, I just found that Chinese fired an anti-satellite missile and destroyed one of their old satellites. Congrats to Chinese engineers! ;-)
Maybe it will start a new arms race and we may finally send some people to another planet.

My CUTS TechTeam presentation
Posted on January 15, 2007
My team won honorable mention in Microsoft/Infusion competition on CUST conference.
Here are the slides from our presentation).
I proposed architecture, made slides, initial speech and diagram on the napkin.
Matthews improved my speech, made a dance in from of the audience while we had technical difficulties with the projector and delivered the first part of the presentation.
The other three guys (sorry I can’t find the note with your names) helped with research and made a beautiful diagram.
After the presentation we also had to defend our architecture and answer several technical question.
I think we had a chance to win the first place, but I guess rehearing the presentation for the first time ten minutes before the content and calling the company Infosys instead of Infusion the did not really helped.
Anyway, congratulation to the wining team who delivered a well prepared presentation and had a very detailed solution (although I think our architecture is better).
